Information
A very beautiful loop to the south of Vialas, which passes through several typical Cévennes hamlets built of shale stone. You will discover in particular the hamlets of Villaret, Massufret and Castagnols, where numerous ruined houses bear witness to a very rich past and a formidable heritage. The views on the upper part are superb on the Luech valley and the impressive cliff of Trenze. Passage to the hamlet of La Planche where it is possible to swim.
The route is a little difficult, starting on a small road and continuing along forest tracks near Massufret. Beware of some slightly technical sections on the way up and, after the Col de Banette, the descent which is reputed to be quite steep and rocky.
